Where GIOSTAR stem cells come from
Ethically sourced stem cells, checked lot by lot
The mesenchymal stem cells at our Henderson wellness center come from screened donors, ethically sourced, and each lot arrives with a Certificate of Analysis.
Ethically sourced
Cells come from donated tissue, given with consent, and we never use embryos.
Donors screened and tested
GIOSTAR screens and tests every donor before using any tissue.
Certificate of Analysis
A Certificate of Analysis comes with each lot.
Full traceability
Each lot carries full traceability, from donation to your treatment day.
What stem cell therapy is and how it works
GIOSTAR gives stem cells from screened donors, ethically sourced, by injection or IV at our Henderson wellness center.
What MSCs are
Mesenchymal stem cells, usually shortened to MSCs, are adult stem cells. Our ethically sourced MSCs come from screened donors, and we use no embryos at any point.
Injection or IV
GIOSTAR plans use one of two routes. An injection places the cells in one treatment area (Single Site) or in two or more areas in the same visit (Multi-Site). A Systemic IV plan gives the cells through an IV while you relax in a recliner in our IV lounge. An IV plan also uses a small draw of your own blood, which we mix with the cells just before treatment. At your visit, your nurse practitioner recommends the route.

Before and after your visit
- Your free consultation
- The free consultation is with our patient team. We explain how stem cell therapy works at GIOSTAR, ask what you'd like to keep doing, walk you through each step and the pricing, and book your visit with a nurse practitioner.
- Your nurse practitioner visit
- Next, meet your nurse practitioner in person at our Henderson wellness center. Bring your medication and supplement list, any allergies and your health history. At the visit, your nurse practitioner reviews your goals, confirms whether you're a candidate and gives you the full total before you book.
- Lab work
- If lab work would help, GIOSTAR orders the panel, and you book the blood draw at a nearby Quest location. Results come back in about a week. Before you book, your nurse practitioner explains the lab work and what it adds to your total.
- Before treatment day
- Stop ibuprofen-type pain relievers 7 days before, and pause blood thinners only with your prescriber's approval. Skip alcohol for 48 hours and drink plenty of water.
- On treatment day
- Eat a light meal before you arrive, wear loose clothing and bring your medication list. Expect 1 to 2 hours with us, by injection or IV, and you go home the same day.
- Aftercare
- Written aftercare instructions come from your nurse practitioner before you leave. Avoid ibuprofen-type pain relievers for 2 weeks, keep to light activity for 1 to 2 days and return to workouts once you're cleared. Limit alcohol and keep drinking water. Questions at any point, call us.
- Follow-up
- Check-ins come at 2 weeks, then every 3 months. Each one is a chance to talk through how you're doing, review any new labs and adjust your plan with your nurse practitioner. Repeat doses around six months later are one option, and a single treatment is another. You decide together, with the price in front of you.
- What's normal after stem cell therapy
- Soreness or swelling at the treated area for a few days. Tiredness, headache or a flu-like feeling for a day or two. A low-grade fever that fades within 48 hours. Call us at 702.703.5393 with any question.

Stem cell therapy FAQ
Questions about stem cell therapy, answered
Still have a question about stem cell therapy? Call 702.703.5393.Last updated October 2026
The most common side effects are short-lived: soreness or swelling at the treated area for a few days, and tiredness, a headache or a flu-like feeling for a day or two. Some people have a low-grade fever that fades within 48 hours. Before any treatment, your nurse practitioner reviews your health history, medications and allergies and walks you through what to expect.
That question is about your own health, so your nurse practitioner answers it at your visit. After treatment, check-ins at 2 weeks and every 3 months let us adjust your plan with you.
The cost of stem cell therapy at GIOSTAR depends on your plan: the number of treatment areas, injection or IV, and a single or repeat dose. Your nurse practitioner gives you the full total at your free consultation, before you book. Talk with our care team about your options, including monthly payment plans through Cherry.
The ethically sourced mesenchymal stem cells at GIOSTAR come from screened donors. They come from tissue donated after healthy, full-term births, with the mother's consent. We use no embryos, and no harm comes to mother or baby.
Insurance plans generally do not cover stem cell therapy at GIOSTAR, a self-pay service. You get your full total in writing before you book. If you'd like to spread the cost, Cherry offers monthly payment plans, and you can apply before or after your consultation.
No. Our stem cell and exosome therapies are not approved by the FDA. GIOSTAR offers stem cell therapy as a self-pay service, and before you decide, your nurse practitioner reviews your history and walks you through the process, the risks and the full cost.
Plan for 1 to 2 hours with us on treatment day, by injection or IV, and you go home the same day. You can usually drive yourself home. For extra support after an injection, bring someone along.
Every donor goes through screening and testing before any tissue goes into use. The Certificate of Analysis and full traceability come with each lot. Ask your donor screening questions at your visit, and your nurse practitioner answers them.
Return to light activity usually takes 1 to 2 days. Your aftercare instructions, in writing from your nurse practitioner, include avoiding ibuprofen-type pain relievers for 2 weeks. At 2 weeks, then every 3 months, we review how you're doing and adjust your plan with you.
At our Henderson wellness center, GIOSTAR gives ethically sourced mesenchymal stem cells from screened donors by injection or IV. What your plan involves is something your nurse practitioner explains at your visit.
Your consultation, your treatment day and every follow-up happen close to home at our Henderson wellness center. Between visits, call us at 702.703.5393.
Starting with a single treatment is an option. Some choose a repeat dose around six months later. The nurse practitioner maps your plan with you and adjusts it at follow-ups.
It often suits people who want to stay active and would like to explore regenerative medicine with a licensed provider. Tell your nurse practitioner about your full health history, every medication and supplement you take, and any allergies at your visit. They confirm whether you're a candidate, and if another option fits you better, they'll talk it through with you.
No. GIOSTAR uses donor cells, so there's no harvest procedure to collect your own cells and no second procedure site. On IV plans, we add a small draw of your own blood to the cells shortly before your IV starts. Learn more about regenerative medicine beside stem cell therapy.
We give treatment by injection or IV, with no surgery, incisions or general anesthesia. Most people describe a needle stick and brief pressure. Some soreness at the treated area is common for a few days, and you go home the same day.
Nevada law (NRS 629.370) allows licensed providers to administer stem cells. It does not change their FDA status.
