Who runs the IV?
A nurse practitioner reviews your history in person before any plan.
Where do I sit?
In a recliner in our IV lounge, in a private treatment room.
Why my own blood?
A small draw of your own blood goes into the mix before treatment.
What will it cost?
Systemic IV plans, starting at $18,000, and you get your full total before you book.
If an injection plan or another option suits you better, your nurse practitioner tells you at your visit.

How stem cell IV therapy works at GIOSTAR
An IV is the systemic route: the cells travel through the bloodstream instead of going to one named treatment area.
What a Systemic IV plan is
A Systemic IV plan gives the cells through an IV in a recliner in our private IV lounge. There is no surgery and no incision, and you can read, rest or catch up on email while the infusion runs.
A small draw of your own blood
On IV plans, we add a small draw of your own blood to the cells shortly before your IV starts. Your nurse practitioner explains this step at your visit.
The cells themselves
The cells are the same on every GIOSTAR plan: mesenchymal stem cells from donors we screen and test, with a Certificate of Analysis and full traceability for each lot. The IV is the route, and the cells do not change.

What the IV visit involves
What a stem cell IV visit involves, step by step
Four parts make up the day, and your nurse practitioner explains each one before it happens.
The review
Before any plan, your nurse practitioner reviews your history, medications and allergies in person.
- Your medication and supplement list
- Any allergies
- Your questions about the route
The blood draw
A small amount of your own blood is drawn and added to the donor cells just before treatment begins.
- A small draw only
- Mixed with the cells just before treatment
- Explained at your visit
The infusion
You settle into a recliner while the IV runs. Your care team checks in as it goes.
- Private room in our IV lounge
- Read, rest or work quietly
- 1 to 2 hours on treatment day
The follow-up
Check-ins land at 2 weeks and again every 3 months, and your plan adjusts with you.

- A repeat dose is always your choice

Before and after your IV
- Your nurse practitioner visit
- Bring your medication and supplement list, any allergies and your health history. Your nurse practitioner reviews them, confirms the IV route and gives you the full total before you book.
- Before treatment day
- Stop ibuprofen-type pain relievers 7 days before, and pause blood thinners only with your prescriber's approval. Skip alcohol for 48 hours and drink plenty of water.
- On treatment day
- Eat a light meal before you arrive and wear loose clothing with sleeves that roll up. Your team places the IV, and you stay in the recliner while it runs. Expect a needle stick and a moment of pressure.
- Comfort in the IV lounge
- Bring a book, headphones or a laptop. Water is on hand, and a team member checks on you throughout.
- After the IV
- Written aftercare instructions come from your nurse practitioner before you leave. Avoid ibuprofen-type pain relievers for 2 weeks and keep to light activity for 1 to 2 days.
- What's normal after a stem cell IV
- Tiredness, a headache or a flu-like feeling for a day or two. A low-grade fever that fades within 48 hours. Call us at 702.703.5393 with any question.
- IV or injection
- An injection places the cells in a named treatment area instead. Our guide to stem cell injections and IV infusions compares the routes, and the stem cell injections page covers the injection visit.
