Yes. Nevada law (NRS 629.370) allows licensed providers to administer stem cells. At GIOSTAR, licensed nurse practitioners give every stem cell therapy plan at our Henderson wellness center, and Dr. Ryan Peterson, our Medical Director, oversees care.
This article covers what the law means for you in practice, how stem cell therapy is paid for, and which questions help you choose a provider in Las Vegas with confidence.
What Nevada law means for you as a stem cell therapy patient
Three practical things follow for anyone considering stem cell therapy in Nevada.
You pay for it yourself. Stem cell therapy at GIOSTAR is a self-pay service. Insurance plans generally do not cover it, so you receive your full total in writing before you book. Read more in does insurance cover stem cell therapy.
You decide with full information. Your nurse practitioner meets you in person, reviews your health history, your medications and your allergies, and explains the process and the risks. The visit is built around your questions.
You choose the pace. The first step is a free consultation with our patient team, with no obligation. You can ask every question you have, go home and think it over.
Who may give stem cell therapy in Nevada
The law answers who may give the therapy: a licensed provider. That makes the license of the person treating you the first thing to check, wherever you go. Ask for a name and a license type, and expect both on the spot.

How to compare stem cell therapy providers in Las Vegas
Ask every provider you consider the same questions. A good consultation covers who treats you, what the cells are, how the visit runs and what you pay, in plain language and in writing where it matters. Compare those answers side by side before you commit to anyone.
Bring a short list to your free consultation with us. Many people write down their questions the night before, and our patient team goes through them one at a time. There is no pressure to book on the call. You can take the total home, talk it over with your spouse or partner, and call back with more questions.
How GIOSTAR handles the questions you should ask
Whatever provider you are considering, a few questions get you the facts. Here is how we answer each one.
Who gives the treatment?
Licensed nurse practitioners at our Henderson wellness center. You meet your nurse practitioner in person before any plan is made.
Where do the cells come from?
GIOSTAR uses ethically sourced mesenchymal stem cells from screened donors. They come from tissue donated after healthy, full-term births, with the mother's consent. We use no embryos, and no harm comes to mother or baby. Every donor is screened and tested before any tissue goes into use, and each lot comes with a Certificate of Analysis and full traceability. Details are in where stem cells come from and how donors are screened.
What will it cost?
The total depends on the number of treatment areas, injection or IV, and a single or repeat dose. Your nurse practitioner gives you the full total at your free consultation, before you book. If you would like to spread the cost, Cherry offers monthly payment plans for qualified applicants, subject to credit approval.
What does the process look like?
Five steps: a free consultation, a visit with your nurse practitioner, lab work if it helps, treatment day (1 to 2 hours, by injection or IV, and home the same day) and follow-ups at 2 weeks and every 3 months. The full walk-through is in what happens at a stem cell therapy visit.
Questions worth asking any stem cell provider
Beyond the four above, bring these to any consultation, ours or anyone else's:
- Can I see the paperwork that comes with the cells?
- What side effects do people describe, and who do I call if I have a question afterward?
- What is in the full total, and what is not?
- What is the follow-up plan?
At GIOSTAR, the answers are all part of your first two visits. Soreness or swelling at the treated area for a few days is common after a treatment, and some people feel tired or have a headache or a flu-like feeling for a day or two. A low-grade fever that fades within 48 hours is also something people describe. You leave with written aftercare instructions and our number.
Who stem cell therapy may be right for
Stem cell therapy often suits people who want to stay active and would like to explore regenerative medicine with a licensed provider. Whether it suits you is a question about your own health, and your nurse practitioner answers it at your visit. If a simpler option fits you better, our team tells you at your consultation.
