Ask ten people in Las Vegas about IV therapy and you will hear ten different reasons for booking. A round of golf in July. A red-eye back from a trade show. Race week. A Tuesday that needs to go better than Monday did. The menu is built around that range, and this guide walks through each drip in plain words.

IV, short for intravenous, means a small tube in a vein in your arm, with a bag of fluid running into it at a pace your provider sets. What is in the bag decides the drip. Below is what each GIOSTAR drip contains, who places it, how a visit runs and how to pick.

The IV therapy menu at GIOSTAR in Las Vegas

GIOSTAR offers five IV choices at our Henderson wellness center. Here is what each one is.

  • Hydration IV. Balanced fluids and electrolytes. It is the simplest drip on the menu and a common pick for hot days and long travel.
  • Immunity Boost IV. Vitamin C with immune-supportive nutrients, in two strengths. Your nurse practitioner helps you choose between them.
  • Performance & Recovery IV. Amino acids and electrolytes, built for active people. It usually runs about 45 to 60 minutes. Tell us before you book if you compete in a tested sport.
  • Myers Cocktail. The classic drip: B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium, run slowly.
  • NAD+ infusion. NAD+ is given in multi-session packages. Our guide to NAD+ IV therapy explains how a package runs.

You do not have to memorize any of this. Your nurse practitioner will walk you through the menu with your calendar in mind.

How an IV therapy visit works in Henderson

A visit has two parts, and different people handle each. A nurse practitioner meets you in person, reviews your history, your medications and your plans, and chooses a drip with you. A licensed professional then places the IV and runs the drip. Dr. Ryan Peterson, our Medical Director, oversees care.

Treatment day goes like this.

  1. Check in. We check your blood pressure and pulse.
  2. Place the IV. A small IV goes into a vein in your arm. You feel a quick needle stick, then mostly a cool or warm feeling while the bag runs.
  3. Settle in. You sit in a recliner in our IV lounge. Read, answer email or rest.
  4. Finish. When the bag is done, we remove the IV and go over aftercare.

Most drips take about an hour. Plan for up to 90 minutes the first time, because the history review comes first. Our overview of what IV therapy is and what a session involves covers preparation and aftercare in more detail.

Choosing among the IV therapy drips at GIOSTAR

A simple way to choose is to match the drip to the week you have.

  • A hot week or a long flight: Hydration IV is built around fluids and electrolytes.
  • Curious about vitamin C: Immunity Boost IV is vitamin C with immune-supportive nutrients, in two strengths.
  • A heavy training or playing schedule: Performance & Recovery IV is made for active people.
  • A steady monthly rhythm: the Myers Cocktail is a familiar pick.

If you would like drips on a schedule, the Recovery Membership includes monthly IV infusion credits, a discount on additional IVs and biomarker testing. You can read more about IV therapy at GIOSTAR before you decide.

Who can get IV therapy in Las Vegas, and what to tell us

GIOSTAR gives drips to adults 18 and over. Tell your nurse practitioner about your full history and every medication and supplement you take. That includes pregnancy or breastfeeding, heart, kidney or liver concerns, and any limit your own doctor has set, such as on fluids. If you have a heart or kidney concern, your nurse practitioner may check with your own doctor before choosing a drip.

If you compete in a tested sport, check with your governing body before any treatment.

What IV therapy costs in Las Vegas

The total depends on the drip and how often you come in. Your nurse practitioner confirms your full total at your free consultation, before you book. Insurance does not cover IV therapy, so it is a self-pay service.

Why Las Vegas shapes how people use IV therapy

The valley has its own rhythm. Summer afternoons regularly pass 105 degrees, golf tee times start at dawn, and the city fills with visitors and residents who travel often. People who live here tend to think about fluids and electrolytes more than most. A Hydration IV is a popular choice on a hot week, and many members pair it with a steady water habit at home.

Visitors sometimes ask whether they can book a drip during a trip. The first step is the same for everyone: a free consultation with our patient team, followed by an in-person visit with a nurse practitioner who reviews your history. Plan for that visit when you map out your days in town.
